Male, 5 years old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped

Charlie is now approx 5 years old and came to us as a stray, he was found on the day of the Kings Coronation, hence the name.  We therefore have no idea of his age or history.  When he arrived he was suffering from a very bad ear infection, he was in a lot of pain and very aggressive when we tried to do anything with it, he ended up having a Total Ear Canal Ablation and Bulla Osteotomy, which has left him deaf in that ear. 

Last year he developed a limp on his front leg, this turned out to be IOHC and as a result he had to have surgery to put a screw in to stabalise his shoulder. He was really good through his vet appointments as we have handling him at the vets down to a fine art and is now fit and healthy again.

Charlie is a big very strong lad and pulls (a lot) on a lead, he is however good off lead and although likes to investigate in the woods etc he never goes too far.  He loves to play ball and to swim, he is great with anyone he meets when out and about and we have never seen him have an issue with another dog.

Our main worry with Charlie going into a new home is his aggression when he is in pain and worried, he would need to go to an experienced home with someone who would work on his trust issues.  This will take time and patience.   Because of these issues and the fact that he was a stray we will be looking for a home without children or visiting children.
